Home Winemaking Winemaking Ingredients Fresh Chilean Wine Juices for the 2013 Season - Extended Deadline April 14. Chilean Pinot Grigio, 6 Gallons
Chilean Pinot Grigio, 6 Gallons
The most well-known white clone of Pinot Noir, it is famously known as Pinot Grigio in Italy where it is most widely produced in Friuli. The cluster may range in color from blueish to pinkish brown and may have mixed colored berries. Degree of contact with skin may influence the color of this wine, but coloration is not considered desirable. The grapes begin to lose acidity as they come closer to ripeness and so depending upon harvest or the ability to mix lots, particular attention should be paid to acid during the winemaking process.
